Quality difference

Just downloaded version 409.1 of vag com now im looking for the usb lead to work with it.

Question is what is the quality difference between the £40 lead from gendan automotive and the ones you can buy off ebay ranging from £10 upwards ?

I want to be able to read and clear fault codes plus be able to do logs so what am i best buying
