QUESTIONS RE: Miltek Cat-Back

Was looking at getting a miltek cat-back system. It is listed like this on their website:

1 x Centre Section Replacement Pipe
1 x Rear Silencer Assembly
1 x Tip Assembly Twin 80mm GT80

I don't know much about them so have a few questions:

1/ How much do they cost? (roughly)

2/ Are their any videos of sound? Or pictures of the system on your car?

3/ How much do they effect insurance?

4/ What is the difference between Pipe Ø: 2.50" (63.50mm) and Pipe Ø: 2.76" (70.00mm)

5/ I don't have any re-maps and don't plan on getting any yet so understand this is my own option, is this true?

I know there are a few questions there so if you can only answer a few please do! I really know nothing about them just interested on improving exhaust noise

I have a miltek non resonated cat back on my car and I really like it. It looks so much better than the stock one. It isn't massively loud, but I'm ok with that because I wanted subtle, but it does give a nice pop on a high rev up shift. If I remember correctly it cost around the £600 mark, but didn't add anything to my insurance. The larger diameter is better if you're considering a full turbo back in the future as it's less restrictive; it's the one I went for.

Thanks very much! Do you have any re-maps? Also do you know any other brands that are maybe a tad cheaper (I wish I had £600 to throw at my car but ive only recently bought it so am a bit skint atm! Also what are your opinions of simply removing that central exhaust silencer?

I had a miltek and sold it very soon it just was not for me it was basically like a the stock exhaust
then had the OEM mid silincer removed and it made it come alive alittle bit but still was quiet so I binned it and went custom exhaust for fraction of the price and sounds so much better it is actually for sale if you interested this is just longer than the cat back it meets the OEM downpipe.

Forgive my lack of knowledge but is this something I can fit myself? Will it pass MOT? And how much will this effect my insurance?

LOL..mot yes as OEM cat is in place..yes could fit self if handy with tools...insurance ring them up and declare modification like any mod you do to your car... OR.......-----

Hi Troup, if it's not been sold already I am interested in this. Only thing is I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks beginning of July so would have to see after that? I've yet to sell my old car and a set of alloys I had on that as well as the speaker system of the car so that should hopefully fetch a few hundred quid. But if you are willing to hold onto it I'll have it off you (just want to speak to my insurance company first and get a quote)

How would you describe it to them? And also it would be easier to post it as I live in Essex, however I really want to see your Boc in person So would you be willing to meet half way?
