Morning chaps,

Was in Seat this morning picking up a part.

I wanted to take advantage of their £129 service with years breakdown cover.

They said this would wipe out my stage 2 revo map, was he correct?

I have the little plug in module from revo, can't I just re-install it from that?

Thanks for the advice.

They 'could' wipe it if there are software updates and they reflash the ECU.

If you specifically request they do not do that and just have the rest of the service then you will be ok.
Id also stick something over the port so some mechanic doesnt do it anyway.

The plug in box is not like bluefin, it does not reload the map, it simply is for adjusting parameters so if the map was lost, then the box wont get it back.

I did ask if they could miss that bit out and just do the rest, but he said no.

I might phone on Monday and try again.

Thanks for all the advice.

Ok, managed to get her booked in for the 7th April.

Girl on reception new more about cars than the guy in parts! She said there was no ECU updates for my car, so they have no reason to flash it.

Seems a pretty good deal, anyone know who Seat use for their breakdown cover?

Chars
