Cheers bill I just waiting for my tip to be delivered to put on and aside from the wmi and actuator I'm ready to go

Why is the guy banned.
I used to be on another forum and if you mentioned certain tuners names they would delete threads or ban you. It's all very childish letting personal matters get in the way on public forums.

R/tech FTW hopefully make it there after new year only talked to niki through fb and all I can say is the advice a tips from him help everyonee don't see why this forum don't like him tbh he would be one of the best tuners to get on here look what he has achieved with Myles car which no one else has been able todo

I agree - very childish.

Have to say this forum has gone downhill, seems like all the regulars are on SSS now - might join them....

Must admit very impressed with the ground breaking work on the ME7 ECU that Niki has done ... launch control, live mapping, variable boost level controls, linear throttle mapping and so on...

My own LC will be paying them a visit once I've fitted the FMIC... may as well throw actuator and WMI on at the same time :)

Its nice to see more options for the LC. K03S is such a great turbo in terms of its spooling.

Sorry to see Mylo go, regardless of tuner politics he is just an enthusiast and pushed to get the best out of his car.

I was reading through his thread yesterday looking for tips and next thing it was deleted so pretty disappointing

Agreed... instant spool up of the KO3S is a massive benefit for a road car ... having to see 3000rpm + from a turbo petrol car before full boost is a bit pointless for a daily runner and it does become an issue with bigger turbos although good mapping helps massively.

The issue with higher boost levels on the KO3S is the way boost drops off at higher RPM... R/TECH have been able to improve on this by modifying certain parameters.

One thing is for sure ... 1.8T tuning is far from over. :)

260bhp / 280lbft from a KO3S is just immense... perfect for fast road use. :)

The thing that gets me is after it was taken off there was apparently no issues with the ko3s which is pretty impressive. Got to give it up for the design techies and manufacturers of it. It may be small but seems sturdy.

Agree with that ... if looked after well they do big mileages as well as proven on here.

I'm still on the original turbo... 10yrs old and 122k miles ... checked at 118k miles with absolutely minimal play and has run 18psi for half of it's life! :D

Have you seen the launch control that R/Tech implemented into the ME7 ECU?

It's INSANE!!!

I have, I enjoy it everday lol

With regards to Niki he is a brilliant tuner pushing the boundaries of ko-xx turbo's.
I will be going up their in the new year for my hybrid setup.

If anyone is on audi-sport you will have seen that Prawns hybrid recently made 353bhp. Insane on such a small turbo.

With regards to not being able to mention a certain tuner's name, well, playground springs mind.

I was impressed with the result Niki got from Prawns K04 hybrid. 353 BHP is bloody good going!!!
