Hi all
Thought it was about time I started one of these as I always mean to do one but never get round to it!
The car in question is a 2004 Leon Cupra R 225 in red.
I have always had a soft spot for the R, and as this is my first one I'm still learning about them as I go along!
I was pretty particular what I wanted when I started looking for one, I fancied a red or platinum one, that was for definate....
Obviously the usual like good service history and actually looks like its been looked after would be a start..... I didnt want any aftermarket wheels, tints, lexus lights etc etc..And I was getting slightly fed up of travelling to see an R and finding out its not what I was after, until I found this one..... 160 miles away!!
So after some emails flying about, I arranged to travel down to see it, I had already decided that, as long as it was as described, I was bringing it home with me!
Luckily for me it was perfect, Exactly what I was looking for, so money was exchanged and I was another happy owner of an R!
Millage was a little high, but this was backed up with a full history, and a folder full of receipts and old mots so I was happy with my purchase!
Spec wise is as follows:
Leon cupra R 225
Usual R refinements Such as:
Front Brembos currently running ds2500
Vented rears
Climate
Electric windows x4
Folding electric mirrors
Reversing sensors
Liquid gauge
Aero wipers
18" cupra R alloys painted a dark gun metal grey currently wearing yoko paradas (due for a change)
Stage 2 APR remap
Sports cat
Miltek cat back exhaust
Jabbasport induction kit
Forge front mount
Baileys dump valve
Neuspeed front anti roll bar
Neuspeed rear anti roll bar
Eibach suspension kit
Power wise unfortunately I have no printouts but I would of thought it would be sitting around 270-280 bhp??
Future plans are to keep it clean, enjoy it, sort a couple of stone chips out that are bugging me and leave it like that for now..... I've not long become a dad so priorities have to change!
Hopefully I haven't bored anybody to death lol, look forward to updating when I finally decide what I want to do with it next!
Thanks for taking the time to have a look!
