If you have read any of my previous posts on this subject, i have the above warranty with a 06 140pd dsg with 48k on the clock with a dodgy turbo and DMF.
Well their 'independent' tech has been out and had a look and the result are now in.
TURBO- Carbon build up causing bearing failure, wont cover due to not a manufactors fault,just wear and tear....48k???
DMF-Only 13mm movement, only replace at 15mm so no go either.
I'm an engineer myself so i will be arguing both of these,mainly the DMF. Reasons because i have 2 years left on the warranty and so if i had ignored the banging and clattering for an other 6 months they would have changed it no probs,but now if i refit the knackered 1 and it seizes causing more damage say the gearbox they wouldnt pay out due to 'an exsisting issue'. So i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have to pay out for the replacement.
