Hi
Got a brand new fr which I love
However if I open the window even a centimeter in the rain, water comes in quite badly even in a small amount of rain

I keep it shut but prefer the window to the air con, water is getting all over the window controls.

Should this be happening even in slight rain?

I found that as well

then invested in a set of HEKO wind deflectors so can now have the window down about 1 1/5 inches in the heavy rain and its fine

The worst is when it's rained and water pools on the roof and then you drive and put the window down and it comes in at once like a water fall

Do you get much wind noise with the Heko's? I had Climair ones but gave them away because the noise was almost unbearable

Standard SEAT design of poor water channels on the roof..

Had the same with my 2 Leon's and previous Ibiza's too.

That's it. My ibiza was the same, I was a bit disappointed when the Leon did it for the first time. I keep a cloth in my car for when I get caught out now.

I can see window switches getting damaged

Happens all of the time on my Ibiza, I tend to keep the windows up until I've had chance to quickly turn left/right to get it all off  I don't have much of a problem with rain getting in though, unless it's really heavy rain of course.

To be totally honest I havent really had the car with out them on, i have them normally ordered before i had the car so i cant say if the noise is any way bad,

to be fair to them they are fairly slim and dont stick out that much and i do like the way they look on the car.

I have Hekos on mine and they do work really well but there are a couple of down sides....
There is a bit of wind noise that borders on acceptable for me and:
They make the A pillar quite thick and I find myself having to look round them.
I'll probably remove them when the cooler weather arrives, but then I'll have the problem the OP mentioned!
