rain X and anti fog?? any one used

I haven't tried Rain-X, because whatever some people have said, to me the screen looks slightly misted, which I don't like. I'm with the 'clean screen and decent blades' brigade.
Regarding misting of the inside, a smear of soap on a damp cloth works wonders, and doesn't cost much. This also works on welding goggles etc.

Good tip about the soap. Is that liquid or a bar though.

Rainx can go on smeary if you dont wipe over with a damp cloth before you buff up. You think you are going to remove it but you dont.

Bar. Used to use 'Fairy', but it's been discontinued; wouldn't fancy some of the perfumes :-(
'In the war' as Uncle Albert used to say, they issued little bars of 'demisting compound' for use in respirators, but soap was apparently just as good, probably the same stuff, usually applied with a licked finger (different finger for each eyepiece!), but this method would be a bit slow on windscreens.

Under nearly all conditions, I've found that clean glass is the best fix for these problems. I have used rain x and their antifog products in the distant past when car heaters were crap, in fact I've probably still got them, even used antifog cloths, they did work and improce things back then, but as I've said make sure the glass is really clean and try to find out why the car is damp inside - if that is your problem. Driving in cold weather with wet hair and/or clothes is a big problem though.

I tried the antifog last year on mine, ended up making it worse instead of better!

RainX wont help you as it goes on the outside of the glass and is to make the water bead which helps it clear quicker.

I agree that the anti fog is pretty useless. Iam gonna try the soap on a rope

i have used rainx on the outside worked ok , but to be honest while im waxing the car clay all windows and i WAX the windscreen too never had a slingle problem go over 40mph never have to use the wipers just beads straight off
