just getting a beep while I drive, happened on test drive but assumed it was fuel as it was showing exactly 1/4, then happened after I bought the car as it was showing exactly 1/4 again, then it didn't beep as I dropped below 1/4 this time

but it happened again today and it's above 3/4

there are no lights on the dash or anything?

I don't have a clue what it's trying to tell me

not sure I don't usually look at the temperature outside lol
if it happens again I'll check the temp!

also I got a luxury pack on my car and it has a "rain sensor" what does this do?
could it be the beeping that it's saying my wipers need to go on?

Most likely to be the outside temp.

I know I get a "bong" for 4 degreess but just discovered yesterday and today I get it again for -5 and -10 !

Thanks for that Seat, the fact that the de-icer I sprayed on the windscreen froze as soon as it hit the glass was enough of a clue it was cold thank you!

rain sensors are usually for the wipers.
If you look at the rear view mirror, does it have a larger than average connection to the windscreen and potentially a sensor and wiring?

If so, when you have the wipers on intermitent, it should automatically vary the speed to the amount of rain falling.
In fact, if its working correctly you can leave it on intermitent all the time as it can vary from no wiping at all (when its dry) to fact wipers when in heavy rain.

However my experience is this feature can be a PITA.

Below 4 degrees I get the airplane ping noise and the display flashes.

Had me puzzled all this and last week until I did a search on here.

yeah it has a thicker wire and at night time everything is the review is green!

oh good yeah the rain sensor is so annoying then, I clear the windscreen and then about 10s later they wipe again when it's completely clear and smear it all up ! [:@]
oh well xD

thanks for help everyone, will check with next beep and confirm it's at 5, -5 0, -10 or whatever lol

You've see "-10C" in Weggieland? I'd reckon that what you have seen/heard is a chime when the temperature dropped down to 4C and then the temperature dropped down further while you were driving, probably down to below -5C, then you came to an area where the temperature was rising back up and it warned you again when rising up to -5C. That happened to me last week, the chime is really, I think, to warn you of slippery conditions, they start at +4C but will drop off below -6C as you will find if you end up driving on frozen roads at -10C and below.

This time last week was not very "nice" on the M77 and M8.
