what about decked on small steels or alloys ,
even putting smaller brakes on to get it small wheeled ,
ive always fancied a knock around , rub it all down and have a go at painting myself just for fun
as for stopping windows dropping , when waiting for parts for my windows to be fixed ,we used a piece of wood to hold it up fully , but this would prob weigh just as much as the motors

Yea I'm watching some steelies on eBay at the mo mate! Will be lowering it alot too!Sooner leave motors in place rather than bits if wood though!

True rat look costs a lot of money and skills to make look good. Yes a rat look Leon would be nice, if done well. Not if you go into it with the train of thought that it is the cheap option. If you just paint strip a few panels, cut the springs, put it on steelies and god I hate saying it "sticker bomb" a few panels, then you will just be left with a shut car that isn't different, isn't cool, and is just gay. If you want to do it, then do it properly! Cut the front turrets, extend them to get it sitting megga low, ditch the roll bar, cut the rear springs and move the rear axle backwards. Cut a tunnel to root the exhaust , and raise the engine right up. Get it sat so low it's unfeasible. Put it on some mega wide 16 inch banded steelies, and tune the engine a little. Dial in some mega camber and steal some old street signs and rivit them on to make some masive arches. Stretch the hell out of some tyres too. Maybe fit a bench seat in the front from an old yank car and trim it in old leather. That is rat look and looks cool, getting some stickers free with fast car and sticking them on your bumper is not rat look, and doesn't look cool. I look forward to seeing what you do

Look I'm not cutting any turrets, shifting axles etc but it will be low and no I'm not cutting springs etc! Il do it properly but not on a stupid budget! As for fast car and the other spotty mags I havnt looked at one in years!
Il do my best to make it look good but I won't be making the bonnet rusty etc!
Iv hurt a few feelings doing this but hey! First for everything right! By the way. Nice car ..............

Don't really matter what anyone else thinks but it's always nice to get the support of everyone. Just do it and see how it turns out mate
