Yep bought a faded Leon cupra with 123000 on it for £795! Scratched to he'll but it's ideal for me!
Guy dropped it round last night so iv just sent it into the garage for the waterpump an cambelt etc then il start the build thread on thurs!
Can't wait! Rattle cans at the ready........

Just to add a little input, mate of mine has sprayed his mk1 passat estate matt black going for the rat type look. He's done something I think is quite funky with the doorcards, don't ask me how he's gone about doing it. He's retrimmed them but has somehow done like a collage of old comic strips. Looks really cool in my opinion, think someone did something similar on here with their mk1 lcr splitter.

I think the rat look or that type of theme probably needs more thought than the "normal" route, doing something different to the norm.

Personally I can't wait to see how you go about it and see the finished result!

You really need to have a look around on other forums and in fast car. What you have described is 90% of what people class as 'modified' these days.

Had thought along a similar line with the doorcards as I think by heating up the material on them it should come off! Just have to decide what to put on there! Maybe pics of everyones leons off cupra net................. Was thinking if doing the dash too...

Going to start it later when I pick it up from the garage! Just had the waterpump/cambelt/ tensioners changed and a good service! Had to make sure it was good mechanically before starting on it! Debt trust previous owner that had reciept for work but lost it!
