Rattle at low revs

Cars got 500 miles on it.
But recently I've noticed that when pulling off and at low revs the engine makes a rattling noise.
It's quite noticeable and doesn't sound like its part of the normal diesel noise. Anybody else noticed a strange noise

I have the 2.0 tdi 184

That rattle is shocking and certainly worse than the turbo wastegate rattle on my petrol engine.

weirdest thing is.....the noise has now totally disappeared. no idea what it was.

does anyone have any idea what it could have been as now the noise has disappeared the dealer isn't going to be interested.

throw the usual card of " we can't reproduce the fault"

Sorry I can't help as to what that noise may be, but I'd still have the dealership take a look at it. If they do give you the runaround and say they can't find the issue, presumably you could just show them your video?

If mine were making noises like that with just 500 miles on the clock I wouldn't hesitate to get straight back in touch with Seat. The Leon may not be the most expensive car in VAG's stables but it isn't a cheap car either. For my money I'd want to make sure it is working the way it should! It'll most likely be something simple like a loose fitting engine cover that's rattling, but best to be sure.
