I've just had Uniroyal Rainsport 2's and i must admit in the wet they do grip alot but i would expect this as the name suggests :)
I used to have Toyo T1R's but they're a very soft compound so they seemed to wear down very quick :(

For the Uniroyals i paid £78 each fitted and that was for 17's :)

Pirelli pzero neros on mine, with a lot of road noise lol. Will be trying something else when the time comes to replace them!

Thats a bargain price!!

Where were these from?

I had about 5,000 miles on my yoko's and and my toyo's are exactly the same :(

It all depends on your budget. Make sure you shop around before buying as you could save quite a bit. The best tyre i've used must be the toyo t1r. Brilliant performance and good value for money.

Thats a really good price ;)

They are going for £82 delivered on Ebay but then you have the fitting charge. I will go to my local tyre shop next week and get a price. I would like to pay no more than £180 for a pair.

Maybe too late for OP but the Falken fk452s on my TDI defy the laws of physics. Incredible Tyre and only £60 each.

So im running standard 17 Alloys on my 130 FR got the origaniol Dunlops on the rear and need some new front... The last pair i bought were Falken ZE912 paid 134.89 fitted got 17,000 of them just want some that i can get good milage out of really?? or am i best sticking with what ive got?? One other thing both inner edges have gone now but the tyres are down to aprox 2mm is this the norm??

if it aint broke why fix it? 17k is a decent amount of distance on the front of the car.

with the inner edges, get your tracking/alignement checked as its almost certainly out which is whats causing the uneven tyre wear

if you go to 215/45 r17 you'll have problems with your speedo and more than like have some rubbing, 16" alloys are what can take 45 profile tyres.

going to 215 width is a good move, alot of people do it and does offer that little tiny bit more grip and rim protection. Is it worth the extra £8-£10 a corner?? depands on your point of view, but id do it once my alloys are refurbed [B)]
