I’ve got this knock I’ve been chasing it for about 6 months now and can’t seem to sort it .

It’s mainly when reversing and turning , can be left or right but usually left ,
Sometimes on a track day when heavy breaking into a corner it can be heard then as well

Intermittent can go days without hearing it then can hear it several times a day .

It’s a metallic clunk I would say .

So what have I changed to try and fix this noise

New genuine Cupra r shock absorbers from TPS genuine top mounts and bearing
Apex lowering springs
Lemforder lower arms ( both sides )
Trw ball joints (both sides )
Trw track rod ends (both sides )
Trw tie rods in the rack (both sides )
Wheel bearing (both sides )
Drop links (pair )

Front R32 arb d bushings with poly bushes (1-2 years old now )
Checked subframe is tight
Steering rack is tight
Dog bone mount fitted ecs tuning maybe 4 years old now

It’s doing my head in , never fails a mot on it and nothing has okay or is loose

My suspicions are

Drive shaft on ns
Steering rack mount bush
An engine mount but can’t see how steering would affect this as don’t do it in straight line

I’ll try get a video tomorrow but really stuck now and many ££££ in

It is a Toledo 20vt but everything underneath is as per a Cupra r is up front now

Welcome any advice

Tried to get it on video but wasn’t very clear

I’ve still got it slowly working through it

I’ve got a feeling it’s in the rack or a steering knuckle

Yesterday I’ve changed two too mount bearings genuine and fitted powerflex top mounts

Only heard it once since so that could have been springs settling , I’ll keep posted
