I don't know how to do it but would be interested in a guide/ link if anyone has anything?

I was just going to use www-vagcat-com for reference and crack on!

I had mine off when I fitted the tow bar, I don't recall it being unusual so just the usual bolts in the wheel arch liners, through the rear bulkhead (had to remove the trim at the back of the boot iirc). I'll dig out the instructions that came with the tow bar if you'd like?

Just dug out the instructions for the tow bar but they arent of much help. The image below is from vagcats, maybe of some help (though not entirely clear), from memory there are two bolts behind bit of trim at the rear of the boot (as in the bit that covers the latch on the car, not on the bootlid).

Apparently I'm not allowed to post links/pictures yet...

Sorry if this is the same image (got bored waiting for the page to load tbh)

4~ plastic, plug type fasteners in the boot-shut

a 10mm bolt and 2 torx screws in each wheel arch

1 (only??) fastener in each side in the bottom corners of the bumper (I don't have these anymore, so can't remember what they were)

The whole bumper sides into a guide strip (item 13) about an inch below the boot level and a guide on either side, so if you pull it straight backwards a couple of inches it should (will!!) drop away... get a friend to help if you can
