£620 for a bumper and boot? I would want new panels for that cost!

I had my whole car resprayed, including some smoothing for 800

Got another quote for £607 so seems to be the going rate lol. Also has a dent in the boot if i didn't mention that!

Sent off quotes to insurer on friday so hopefully will get sorted asap!

Where do they get the £7 from lol

It was a random amount like £607.23  It breaks it down into labour costs n stuff but its ridiculous either way lol.

Saw the bloke that crashed into me driving the other way yesterday and noted the company name, which i have googled and the company address is the blokes house! So he lied when he said it wasn't his van.....[:@]

Just saw this thread. If Nationwide have the same standard of work across all of their workshops, i'd avoid them like the plague! My dad's pickup a few years ago had a small prang and it took them 8 weeks to repair it and when he got it back the alignment of the panel replaced was shocking and the plastic part they replaced was a different tecture of plastic in comparisson to the rest of the car's parts. Went back a further 2 times to get it all sorted to an ok-ish standard.

You say that but my gf's parents had the whole of one side of their car resprayed and the bumper and you can't tell that its been done!

Was a really hard colour to match too, done in like 2 or 3 days.

I think it comes down to the body shop and who's actually performing the spraying. Blending is an artform really and some sprayers have the skill and others just leave a lot of overspray on the panel.
