Rear door handle rattle

Hi

Both of the rear door handles rattle with the bass in my 2010 leon. The bass is set 2 from the highest level. It's not all the time, just some parts of songs, but its really annoying!

Just wondered if anyone else has had the same problems and has a solution for it? I suppose its like a vibration of the door handles but it is very annoying!

Hi mate,

I had this problem too.

On mine, it was due to the door card not being fully tight (the screws that hold it to the metal door).

Open the door and at the bottom of the plastic in the centre there is a screw, check its tight!

Tightening the screws didnt work it's slightly quieter now but still vibrate! I think the door may need to come to bits, i feel that the handle and its 'casing' (black plastic surround) wobbles a bit too much and may need securing better?

If anyone has any help it would be appreciated!

Finally sorted it

I took another look at the handle and realised it was vibrating against the plastic, and this is causing the rattle. I took out the cloth section with the door handle attached and then managed to get some electical tape, and form a sort of pad, stuck this on the back of the handle where the cable pulls it. This cusions the handle and stops it going back far enough that it can touch the plastic and therefore it does not vibrate

Hope this sort of makes sense. If anyone else has the same problem and can't understand what i mean let me know and i'll try and explain it better
