So my cupra is a week old and now is developed this problem. The screen between the rev counter and speedo shows the rear drivers door is open, but it's not, I've opened and shut and given it a good slam, but still shows as being open.
Any ideas?
Obviously I can go back to dealer but that's hassle and 60 miles away.

Happened to me when unplugging the battery. My solution was just to shut it enough for the door don't open itself, but you will notice the door will vibrate, like a door not properly shut, drive for few meters, them proper shutting. Mine was sorted.

would something like opening the door then trying to lock the car with central locking work, might confuse the car into rethinking the door?? or is there anything blocking door catch that is interfering with it.

I'll try that tomorrow, certainly worth a go. Nothing interfering with the door catch, it happened literally the first time I've opened the door from new.

Door sensor clean, fitted flush, and not obstructed? I had a similar problem (but on a 2013 Leon 5dr), turns out, some leaf/insect/mud/or plastc (can't remember exactly what) was stuffed/stuck near the sensor. Was a windy autumn day, and the rear seat passenger wasn't the quickest to enter and close the door, so lots of crap came in too, Wiped it clean, problem solved...but of course this was my experience, could be totally unrelated!

Tried to "fool" the central locking, but no change. There's nothing there to block a sensor it's still clean from new. I think a sensor has broken or come unplugged or something like that. I'm not taking things apart tho, car is only a week old.
Thanks for the suggestions tho guys, they were worth a try:)
