Its a real pain if its been glued with sikaflex (windscreen adhesive).

The only way to get it off is by cutting the glue using a thin wire. They actually do this to remove windscreens.

The worst bit is then removing the adhesive that's left on the car and spoiler.

If you can find the wire they use to remove windscreens that might work to cut through the adhesive. Its apparently got some abrasive properties that cut the adhesive but don't damage the paint.

I ended up using fishing trace wire and cut small sections at a time.
