Rear spoiler removal??

Any ideas how to remove the rear spoiler which is bonded on

Its a real pain if its been glued with sikaflex (windscreen adhesive).

The only way to get it off is by cutting the glue using a thin wire. They actually do this to remove windscreens.

The worst bit is then removing the adhesive that's left on the car and spoiler.

It's bonded on with tiger seal

Could you not try and heat the sealant up with a hair dryer or similar? Then use some wire?

if it was fitted properly then no amount of heat will get the spoiler off. On my old mk4 i used a hammer and long chizzle then had my boot resprayed.

I tried to get my k1 spoiler off once..... It's still on

If you can find the wire they use to remove windscreens that might work to cut through the adhesive. Its apparently got some abrasive properties that cut the adhesive but don't damage the paint.

I ended up using fishing trace wire and cut small sections at a time.
