Rear wheel bearing

Hello just wondering if anyone has replaced the rear wheel bearing but come across the hub bolt been rounded this been the M18 spline bolt came to do mine today got as far as this ******* as it’s rounded so my m18 socket would not take even on an angle to try grip it anyone got any bright ideas as to help me remove this been told get the size socket up bray it in with a hammer and try that as my new beating comes with the new bolt any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated picture taken after attempting and put disc back on

Nightmare! Looks like someone's tried to take it out with the wrong tool.

You can try to hammer in a larger bit yeah. I'd recommend getting it glowing hot first though. Failing that take it to somewhere / someone with a welder and get them to weld a large nut onto the head of the bolt.

My spline socket wouldn’t take properly so had to try on an angle and yeah still wouldn’t work reyt annoyed me nothings ever simple yeah I’ll heat it up and try larger socket and if not then yeah I’ll give it a go but agreed with the nightmare Thankyou for the input

Or worse case put a nut in the middle and weld the inside of the nut onto the metal and while it’s still hot use a breaker bar to remove it.
