I have just bought a 2004 Alhambra with a few problems, one of which is the spring that holds the rear wiper arm down scratches the glass when activated. Also, the nut cover gets pushed up so the rear wash just hits that instead of the screen and the wiper gets lift up so misses half the glass. I suspect it has had a new rear screen recently as there was parts of glass on each side in the storage compartments.
Having looked at it the wiper arm is too close to the glass. There is a wedge shaped fitting which seems to fix the motor to the glass.
Could anybody tell me which way round the wedge bit is. i.e. the thinnest part at the top or the bottom? And is there any special considerations needed when fitting a motor - I don't like the idea of tightening things onto glass!!
Thanks.
