Rear wiper is not touching the glass when in the vertical position, leaving a large section maybe 50% of glass not wiped. Its Ok at rest and in the full travel position. Checked the wiper arm and blade, everything is free and appears fine. Its like the wiper has'nt enough movement to compensate for the curvature of the glass when straight up. Any ideas? I can only think someone may have fitted the incorrect complete arm. Cheers

(06 Alhambra tdi)

Could anyone confirm if this is normal to other alhambras or do I need to investige further. Thanks

This is not normal it should clear 100% of it's sweep. Check to see that arm has full flexibility of movement. Sounds like it has been forced on.

Everything is free and is how it should be, thats the strange thing. I looked at an older alhambra in a car park and its wiper works on 100% sweep but it had the old style metal blade frame. The one fitted to mine are plastic arm and blade frame.
Been to the local auto centre and they are miffed too! The aftermarket replacement items look identical to the current blade arangement.

MY vehicle has a plastic arm and blade and sweeps OK. Seem to remember that my old (1999) Alhambra had a problem with rear wiper not sweeping and that was down to the blade not fitting correctly in the arm stopping the blade from being fully flexible.
