Hi guys. Had service today and have been advised rear pads have 70% wear and rear disks have abit of corrosion so advised to have replaced,

Have a 2007 Cupra 2.0tsfi and was wondering what brake pads and disks people reccomend replacing these with. Not wanting to spend stupid money. Just the best value for cost

Also not clear on the size of the standard disks and pads I have currently on this model Cupra. Any advice be gratefully recieved

On the rears is a 282 x 12 mm solid disc (used to be 286 mm), I fitted Pagid discs/pads when I replaced mine

Thanks for the response, When you said they are 282 (was 286) what do you actually mean, have they changed the size of them or is that for a different model

They changed the size to 282 mm for some reason. The pads on EuroCarParts are still listed for 286 mm lol

I use delphi lockheed pads and have done on all my cars for 20 years. Good value v quiet and v good stoppers .

Can't beat pagid pads and discs m, this is from experience. We look after a clear of vans for example that run to Aberdeen from County Durham everyday. And the only ones that last are pagid, otherwise we have to change pads every two weeks
