Had my car for over a week and am looking to keep my performance alloys from going walkies. Can anyone recommend locking nuts either decent quality or OEM but not dealer silly price? Also need the plastic wheel nut covers for all studs.

Also looking for mud flaps, again either originals or decent quality but not at >£50/pair for two bits of rubber. Would like full set.

Thinking about Thule wing roof bars (black edition) has anyone got a photo of them on a Leon III? And does anyone know of a price for full set incl fittings (best I've found is £200)?

Thanks for any help offered.

McGard I think is the name of the company that make good quality locking nuts, had them on all my cars back in the days when you were lucky to get alloy wheels, but not any locking nuts.

Try David Hawthorne at SERE - He's on the main forum page. He'll do you OEM flaps at a discounted price. He looks after everyone on here! I'm sure he'll sort you out for locking wheel nuts as well. There's not too many decent aftermarket flaps out in cyberspace. I have them fitted and wouldn't be without them.

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEAT-LEON-2014-ROOF-BARS-/272134571754?nav=SEARCH Don't think u will find a set of genuine roof bars cheaper than these. Don't think it says what body style they fit so u would have to enquire

Don't see any photos and doesn't say they are Thule. Need T-track bars for my Thule cycle carriers. Had aero bars before for my Astra but changing mounts is almost as pricey as replacing with new set! Was looking at black edition wing bars as think they'll look better on the FR to go with black/red theme already going on, that's why I'd like to see pics on car if anyone has them?

I have the genuine Seat bars for the SC and yes they are Thule - they even left the Thule logo on them

I only bought new because the foot pack required is not available from thule due to an agreement with Seat.

Here is a pic of the bars ( not my car and the bars have been wrapped too )

Thanks Deano,

these look like aero bars similar to what I already have (for my Astra). In order to get the Leon fittings for these it's £120. For new funky low noise wing bars it's £200 (black) and £180 (aluminium). I'm therefore thinking - sell the old ones as a full set and but new full set.

The ones in the link I've asked some questions and await a reply. If they are aero bars that might be the deal.

The seat ones are aerobars - like this

However I took them off and sold the bars - then replaced them with wingbars

Thanks Jay, turned out these were Thule/Seat aero bars just like the ones I already have for Astra so bought them. Weighed up that at half the price of the wing bar kit it was better value. Excellent tip off, will update with pics when they arrive.

No worries, glad they are what you're after. Just a shame all the set's of genuine seat mud flaps they we're selling off have sold out. That's where I got mine from, they were a steal at £15 a pair!

Damn, cheapest I've seen so far is £110 for full set. Which is not tempting me at all.

If they are going on an SC - the rear side window has two sets of arrows at the top in the black border that the rear bar needs placing between.

You need to look quite closely for them - they are not obvious at first glance.

I spotted there was a difference due to the rear bar fitting where there are no doors on the SC. But mine is a 5 door and I asked the question - is it for 5 door, and got an answer in the affirmative. So all good.

So that's roofbars ticked off.

Anyone spot FR MK3 mudflaps anywhere - proper ones at decent price, give me a shout.

As for the locking wheel nuts I am currently favouring these...

Anyone bought these or know of better alternative? I'm wary about some that say OEM wheel fit but are a straight 60deg taper rather than radius. My alloys are the standard 18" Performance upgrade.

Will_0407, still £80 for a set is still a bit steep when target set at £30 for 4 corners, by previous contributor, Jay280. I just have an issue paying that money for something which costs peanuts to manufacture.

Anyway bars arrived today, some minor cosmetic marks because it looks like they weren't fitted correctly previously. Some gouging to the plastic coating on the brackets which will be unseen when fitted (not bit which in contact with car). The rubber boots were fitted on the wrong corners and the brackets weren't properly seated (cause of gouging), so can only assume that whoever had fitted them didn't read the manual or realise there were differences. All now built up properly and will fit to car when extra pair of hands available - just to adjust the fitting points and then straight off again.

On the downside I found condensation in my rear o/s light cluster this morning and the cracks of doom in the edge of the lens.

I think Jay's price is a one off- I've never seen any genuine mud flaps go that cheap so I reckon you'll be waiting a long time to get a genuine set for all 4 corners for £30- I think a used set would fetch more than that on ebay!
