I've had a warning come up "reduce oil level. visit workshop", checked the oil by dipstick and it was couple of milimeters above max. Drained out the oil to get to the middle between MIN and MAX. The warning is still there and doesn't go away, even if the level is now ok and I have driven ~300km after reducing the oil level. Can it be reset somewhere? Or can I even disable it with obdeleven pro, since I check it regularly with dipstick? Thanks

Supposedly, getting the car into ignition ON (engine off) stage, opening the bonnet for 30 seconds, closing it and then restarting the ignition, resets the sensor. I don't know if it works on MK4s, but many VAG cars have this.
I had the same warning, also too much oil, but I took it to SEATs repair shop and they drained and reset the warning. They didn't charge me for it because I had other issues which all fell within their warranty (not factory) since I bought it from them, so I don't know what's the cost...

Hi, that actually helped! I was opening the hood and checking oil level without ignition on and the light wasn't reseting, with ignition on it worked.

Awesome! Glad it helped, and now we also confirmed that the reset works on the newer models.
