Can an F1 car run on one tank of petrol?

Somehow I doubt. Unless the driver goas at 20mph or something surely.

They can - Ferrari are rumoured to have a tank that could almost manage full race-distance, but obviously only fill it currently to their strategy, plus there's talk of reducing the race distance/duration to accommodate the max fuel that can be fit into the cars

As part of the cost-cutting measures, from 2010 mid-race refuelling will be banned - the first time since 1994

As part of the measure, there is the potential to decrease the race length or duration as well.

Did they lengthen the race or duration when they introduced fuel stops? If not then why the need to reduce things when it's removed again?
