Has anyone had any trouble fitting the downpipe that they sell

I couldn't get mine to fit, was hitting the floor as it comes down from the turbo.

Result- £180 lighter and a few days in an exhaust fabrication place. And that is to fit a part that supposedly fits.

the low drop was not an issue. an experienced mechanic tried to fit it. no luck
got it fitted so i could get to exhaust place. the guy in there was shocked that its sold to fit

ive not had it up on the ramp since getting it back to see it. ill get some pics when i do

Yep mine didn't fit either!!

Fits the turbo fine but then the bends are waaaay off!! Once fitted the angle to be inline with the sports cat section was no where near centre.

My mate had to cut a wedge out on the bend from Turbo and on the bend meeting the cat, weld back together just to align properly........ the DP was shocking and I won't be purchasing anything again off of them.

Hello guys. The downpipes are specially made to fit the Audi tt and s3, the only difference between these and the cupra r are the fittings to the catback system. I have a relentless downpipe fitted to my cupra r ( fitted by badger 5). We just changed the flange and all was good.
Now anyone who purchases for a cupra r are warned there will be modding involved. Modding is only done to insure the cat or decat section mate with the catback. There is no issues joining on to turbo.
As for hitting the floor, can you please be more specific, how low is your car?

Ive had mine fitted 3 weeks ago, was poor fit but it does fit just not great, takes a good fiddle for it not to vibrate on tunnell under car cause it pulls the catback system over a tiny bit, all in all now i can live with it now its on and im happy with it, Price you pay for saving money

Sam I don't mean it hits the ground.

It hits the floor of the car.

When It comes off the turbo, does not seem to come over far enough to make the pass down the tunnel
It fouls the steering rack and hits the tunnel.

The guy who fitted it was disgusted that it had been sold to fit, if it was only the flange issue I'd have been delighted.
