How reliable are these cars?ive just bought myself a mk3 cupra 20v T

shouldn't you have asked before you bought one!!

So far mine has been al but fully reliable. Had the lower engine mount and the original exhaust go but that's it no actual mechanical problems.

I know other people have had coil packs etc go. But on the whole they are good.

ive had mine for a year and a half... when i bought it it had a few probs that were eventually easily fixed... not had a single problem since then!! (touch wood).

Awful. You just gotta look down the mk3 section to see how many problems people get.

they are very reliable in terms of getting you from a to b, but they tend to have a few running issues every now and then.

In 4 years i've only had 1 MAF fail, a new fuse holder and the engine coolant sensor needed replacing. Not bad for 50k miles.
