i think im going to get it remapped now, ive been thinking about the jabba one. on an fr like mine it should be around 190bhp+ according to jabbasport. my cars just coming 56thou now, is anything u would recommend anything before going and getting it done? would you recommend jabbasport? cheers

what u need to ask yourself is are you going to stop at stage one??

if so by all means go straight ahead 190 -210 is roughly what you will be looking at.

if not id advise getting the other stuff for stage two exhaust etc otherwise you could have to pay for another map meaning more £££££

cheers mate, no, stage 1 for me, its a daily driver, im not saying that with stage 2 it wouldnt be a daily driver but i dont need that sort of power were it would cost 2 much for me 2 run. i will put a different exhaust on at some point, but no different injectors, fuel pump etc for me. thanks 4 the advice :)

Sorry for going off topic but i think alot of people would advise against spacers on the front just thought id point it out !

yep ive gon against that stupid idea mate when i eventually engaged my brain lol

Spacers on the front puts ectra strain on cv joints.

Is your car due a cam belt change? If not you dont need to get it done just for a stage 1 map.

i carnt find out in my history of the car if its had the cambelt done so im just going to have it done to be on the safe side. ill give it a service, and get ready for a big power increase lol. ive only just put a new passenger cv on, when i was pricing them up, seat wanted 150 quid for the part! i got it in the end for £45!

Ive got the Revo 5 hr free trial on my 04 ibiza cupra and its awesome!! I didnt have the spare £££ for the proper one so tried this which is well worth it! Got it done at Braintree Seat

i have the forge DV 007P and piper x panel filter as well which helps improve throttle respose etc

Seat are an authroised trader and offer REVO Remaps for all cars, i originaly went up there to buy some engine coolant, saw a leaflet, enquired then this bloke walked me through it they said the remap would cost around £350 mark i think then at the end mentioned we offer a free 5hr trial on your model, had the week off any way so booked my self in and had the trial put on the car yesterday

I'm looking at more-bhp who are offering a postal remap. I post my ECU to then and get it remapped for £99. Search ebay for Ibiza Leon Cupra 1.8T 180 Postal ECU Remap Chip Tune

myneek, personally i wouldnt do that mate, id pay the extra cash and get it done by a vag specialist. but all about personal choice

By specialist you mean having it on a rolling road test before and after and a custom remap rather than something like uploading the Audi TT remap file?

yes, look at the tuners details on the homepage on here, their all specialists for vag engines including our 20v turbo engines. they cost more than £99 but if anything goes wrong they know what their doing with this engine, they probably working on this every other day. i just feel safer paying more, were the probably wont be any come backs
