Ok been pricing up my next plans for my mk1 seat Leon FR TDI 150

Stage 1 Sachs uprated clutch & flywheel kit £420
Stage 2 hybrid turbo (good for 260BHP) £895
Stage 1 revo remap £300

Should see me good for about 190Bhp and 290Ibft.

Then bigger brake setup, cat exhaust system with better induction setup and stage 2 remap should see around 220bhp from the research I've been doing.........not bad for a diesel. Just need to check what else might need uprating to deal with the extra power :D

Oh and one of these to monitor boost and loads of other functions.....Vag at your fingertips

Does this look about right to everyone and what other parts would need uprating to cope with the extra power or what other mods can I do for more BHP ?

well my stage one revo is sitting at about 180bhp and 280flb which is on standard set up no upgraded clutch or exhaust. i would of thought you would be getting the low 200bhp to mid 200 with the hybrid, but may be new sports exhaust and cotton filter, is the one thing i would say.

have a look at what JonJay car for ideas

Not being funny mate, are you sure that Sachs price is for uprated? My uprated clutch was £600+ inc. VAT just for the plate, cover, and release bearing. Flywheel was £250 on top of that for OEM spec. £420 sounds like either the most insane of insane group buy prices, or you're buying off eBay and it's not really uprated (there's several dodgy companies on there who just send out standard parts painted a different colour, it's come up on here before)...

I'd also have thought a hybrid turbo + stage 1 hybrid map would be a bit more power and torque than that, mine is stage 1 P-Torque with standard turbo and has rolled at 196/320 and 186/320. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what the hybrid brings to it though.

:)

Your right about the clutch I think mate. It was on eBay but I don't think it's not uprated or any better then the standard PD150 one, so might have to rethink that one. As far as figures go iam not too sure myself. I wanted to get 250BHP, using updated turbo, clutch & flywheel, de-cat and full stainless exhaust and custom jabba remap, already have a k&n panel filter not sure if that's gonna be enough. Need advice or speak direct to a company that has and can get them figures for me but without being an overpriced cowboy company. Maybe speak to jabba direct, there based about 100 miles from me.

Don't buy cheap Ebay clutches etc, you'll end up paying twice over..

It recommended to buy a brand new hybrid turbo, not a re-con unit...that along with Sachs performance clutch and de-cat downpipe will see approx 230 - 240hp and 350lbs/ft torque.

When tuning any engine to a high level you want to buy the best first time around ;)
