Remap differences

Hi I'm gona be betting a remap done on my tdi fr 130 son and just had a quick question, what does remapping do to like the 0-60 time because I've seen the remap can take it to between 170-180bhp which is more than the cupra tdi so does it make it close to that? Thanks

It's one of the easiest and best mods to get done mate! Even though it's £200+ it transorms the car. 2nd and 3rd are monster's. It depends where you get it done too so look about for a good company that people have recommended.

sorry to hijack the thread abit pal but what remap would people recommend?? iv heard revvo is the best but im sure jabbasport is around £150 cheaper.........also what about something like DTUK's tuning box?? too many companys and too many different remaps!!!!

Give Angel TUning ago mate, 180bhp 300 ft lbs of torque for £220. I and friends have had a gd few maps on a fare few VAG and non VAG motors. Unbelievable performance gains!
I made 129.1 bhp and 234 ft lbs standard, and after remap made 183.4 bhp and 298 ft lbs of torque in my little ibiza fr tdi when i had her. Totally different animal mate, and slightly quicker than a cupra 20vt ibiza mk4 standard

wouldnt touch angel tuning the map made my turbo not kick in at all then found out it could be a problem to get it back to standard

Think with the remaps now they are all much of the same thing i have had revo and apr and even tho i prefer the smoother apr map they all tranform the cars into another class .

I would agree with this, I have an angel tuning map just now and it is not as fast and responsive as the jabbasport map on my mates fabia vrs. I am going straight to jabba when I get the exhaust done due to all my mates tellin me that they have great service and maps to back it up.

Performance torque. Quite a few on hear have there stage one map on FR's and Cupras. Will who does the tuning knows his onions.

Test drives your car, rolls it, loads map, rolls again, test drives it, lets you test drive it, gives you your dyno plots and you pays you monies and leaves. Good service.

yeah thats who im thinking of going with I have heard a lot about performance torque, but i have also been looking into jabba sport or corten millers because they are close to me and have heard good things about them to

Yeah, APR are very smooth, driven a stage 1 20VT and mine is a stage 2, obviously stage 2 is a bit more aggressive, but still pretty smooth.

im desperate to get to stage 2 just the exaust and fmic thats killing me to pay for think it will be a save up job over the winter

It's quite a nice difference. I love how smooth and progressive the stage 1 APR is, a really well polished map and doesn't hammer the turbo with crazy boost for the gains. The stage 2 is really nice also, but just has excellent torque pretty much anywhere in the gear range so you can just take off. Again, gets the gains with only running 16psi boost so it's very kind to the turbo in comparison to some of the competitors.
