Can us oil burners play in this thread?.....318.4Nm standard :p

Whats that I can't here you over the diesel rattle from your engine, did you say something about losing 2000 rev’s somewhere?? I keed I loved my cupra TDi.

The maps best alteration is to make use of the better quality fuel. Remember that a standard car is mapped for the worst common denominator and weather/pressure conditions. In the UK we get the pleasure of decent fuel (mine has never sipped anything but v-power) and fairly cold temperatures.

Did you say something? I was struggling to hear you, that DSG rattling is really annoying :runaway:

I don't think there should be an issue. I got mine in April, recently upgraded to Stage 1 with Revo and everything works smoothly. :)

slightly off the topic of the last post but a question regarding a remap.... im really thinking of gettin my cupra revo'd...as they have £100 off till end of december :) just wondering which 1 to get... select or select plus or does it really matter which 1?

I second this question, i only want to be able to put it back to stock if necessary is it really worth the extra cash for select plus?

Yeah but there seems to be two different versions, the select plus being the more expensive option. Was wondering whether the plus was worth the extra money. Just looked at it again and managed to find the answer to my question lol The Plus allows you to alter settings and add a further 3 'Custom' settings to the selector. All via USB connectivity.

Apparently there is only the Select+ now.

You get 4 settings Stock | 95RON | 97RON | 100RON

You can't have custom settings on the 1.4TSI even though the switch will have 9 possible settings on the dial.

Oh right. Does that mean the select plus has come down in price or is it still the original £249? Do you know if you can ask them to set it to the 100ron while mapping it for you if you haven't got the switch?

Revo will set whichever mode you want it on. If your lucky enough to live close to a dealer then they'll change it when you want too foc

The SPS switches are discounted when purchased at the same time as the map IIRC. Think they're about £50 but not 100%.

They are useful, I used mine for the first time this week. Takes literally a second to switch between modes. Stock feels... sluggish :D

They will set it to whatever petrol your using mate. So if you want top setting start using v power or 100RON where you can find it. It is no use having setting C and you're only running unleaded. The car is not using it's potential and you're potentially pouring petrol down the drain, you need to run through at least 2 tanks of the good stuff for the software to recognise it.

Yeah, that makes sense.

So the issue is either there is little faith in the engine, or the remap.

Either way nothing to do with warranty, unless your gamble is if something goes wrong it will happen in the first three years.

But guys i am under the impression that REVO is not detectable. I mean flash counters dont change when revo'd. How would the dealers know?

Cheers for the replies guys, good to know. It'd b great if the switch is discounted at the time of the remap but haven't read that anywhere, I'll ask the dealer tomorrow!
