:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

tbh mate i think your being very optimistic with 220bhp figures from an fr on just a map. (unless you have other modifications).

after looking at revo results for a cupra, they have only quoted 215bhp after map. baring in mind the cupra has 30bhp over the fr as standard.

might be worth enquiring with revo first to save dissappointment

If the remap is set for 100 octane fuel then it will produce 220ps. The fr and cupra with a remap will both reach the same power as the engines are exactly the same . (the mk4 ibizas had diferences)

I have seen a cupra with a Revo remap and an upgraded intake producing 225ps. and with a custom remap they can go up to 230ps. (but with limited torque at 310nm due to the Dsg)

im guessing the cupra with the 225ps s the one shown in the graph at 221bhp then. when i get round to getting mine mapped ill look into it all and check for the best option

There a some posts with interesting info on this. The map used on the revo site shows their car made 195ish BHP pre remap (as did mine) theirs made 123BHP post remap with high octain fuel. 215/220BHP should be possible on most cupra/fr engines. Probably more like 230bhp with exhaust and breathing mods and map to suit.

The torque is a completely different matter though :)

what torque figures do you think are reasonable? i may be being a little pesimistic here but i think there may be a possibility that the dynamometer they used may be a little generous if it says it is producing 27bhp more than it should as standard.

Most cupras on dyno make 190 ps + when stock. Even on very strict dynos (maha, etc..). The torque with revo should be about 300-310nm. Thats where the dsg torque limiter kicks in.

it wouldnt be just a map i no, would be other modifications too such as exhaust etc, blah blah just wondering were the nearest one was, seems like thurock to mee :( bit of a drive but will prob be worth it, :) just waiting for miltek to hurry up and for a induction kit

Be interesting to see what happens with the rather weedy intercooler on a remapped car, think they are going to suffer.

Might know a certain car that has been booked into a rather well known company to sort this very thing out funnily enough.

elaborate please lol.

300 nm of torque is a good enough number for me. also is 220bhp sounds good to me lol

revo ftw haha

It's more like 280nm which is safer IMO. They can do 320n
from a stage one but this isn't good for the dsg.

Educated guess, someones going bk to forge with there induction kit and they may have a look at the inter by any chance? ;)

320Nm is possible as I said but I wouldn't want that going through my DSG. Look at the torque figure on the standard scirocco map, it's higher since most are manual.

May be worth looking if the s3 or the seat sport intercooler will fit?
