Is it just me or does anyone else get used to the remap pretty quick?

I had it done about a month ago and either the car is getting slower or im used to the extra power already

Sorry for highjacking your thread....

But just wondered how different the car performs under the remap?
In terms of about of boost that is run in comparison...?? Power Delivery?? Does it effect the reliability of the car and engine?

Cheers :D

Its like driving a different car, i had the free trial and couldnt go a week without getting the full program i love it.

Power delivery is very different, the car seems to boost very early, approximatley 2.5k - 3k.

Reliabilty - No problems so far

Probably somewhere around 190bhp and 210lb/ft.

And yes you do get used to it.

But it still gets to license losing speeds fairly quickly.

Now the warmer weather is coming the car will start to feel slower because you still have the standard (crap) intercooler and will start to suffer heatsoak so the ecu will pull back power.

Get a FMIC, makes a world of difference (I've just fitted a Forge FMIC) and it pulls so much harder

Cheers.

Also is it alright to run a remap with more boost with everything else standard... like airbox, etc...

I ran my Cupra standard apart from remap + Forge 007p for around a year and the car made 195bhp and 205lb/ft on multiple occasions and ran a 14.7 1/4 mile.

Now its got an exhaust and air filter. The car feels a bit more lively top end and is quite a bit louder. Which is a good thing i think, as it reminds me what speed i'm doing, and to slow down.

As standard the air filter/exhaust are near silent, combined with a reamp, total license losers.

I think my next addition will be a new exhaust and panel filter then i think i will go for an fmic then leave it at that.

Hopefully that will give me 200bhp

I had mine revo'd this morning. I'm pretty used to it already although still catches me by suprise sometimes. I've got a forge 007p and dynatwist and it pulls really well. Exhaust system for me next then i'm gunna leave it for a while til i'm bored again.
