Has anyone actually remapped an Exeo 143 bhp yet and if so did they have to remove the ecu and how many horses did it end up with and what was the fuel economy like before and after.

There's no F in Quality..
The majority of remaps are done via the diagnostics port on the car, so there is no need to remove the ECU to perform the remap ;)

I'm not aware of anyone on here who has had the 143 remapped yet, but it might be worth having a look on some of the Audi forums, under the A4 (B8) section, as the 143 is the same in the B8 A4 and the Exeo ;)

Also, have a look in the tuner section on the main forum, and have a look at their website. The likes of Revo, Custom Code, P-Torque etc all offer good value for money remaps.

with some of the later stuff you do have to remove the ecu and bench flash it in order to bypass the anti re-map measures now being installed by manufacterers.

dont know about the 143tdi but we revo'd our 170 with great results - 220bhp after (on revos rollers) with no dpf issues.

I have a friend that re maps cars in the Middlands and he can remap where ever your car is using the diognostics port. He did my 140PD engine and increased it to 180. The company he gets his maps from suggests the 143 Exeo should see increases of 35 to 40 bhp

Just back from Auto tune in Ballymena and all seems ok really wanted more mpg but it does seem a whole lot quicker.

Is it my imagination or does anyone else think that the suspension is really soft and boaty

I find my suspension a vast improvement over my Audi A3 and the A4 platform the Exeo is based on. I have the 170 SE Lux.

What sort of figures are you getting now after your re map

Had my 1.8T 150bhp Exeo tuned last year.

New figures:
- power: 143 kW / 195 bhp
- torque: 300 Nm
- topspeed: 235 km/h

Lowered the car 30-35mm with Eibach springs recently, so the suspension is less soft now.

Did you notice much difference when you lowered it appearance wise

Did it look much lower, can you post a pic

Yes it looks much lower.

The picture below has been made shortly after the new springs were installed. At the moment it's even lower than on the picture.

Will make a few new pics this weekend and post them here.
