There have been some drag races at the likes of Santa Pod etc between Stage 2 LCR with a progressive map (i.e CC) and a Stage 1 LCR with an aggressive map (i.e REVO) and the aggressive one comes out on top.
Fair enough if you're a Santa Pod regular but in the real world how often do we drive like this? If you think about it even traffic light grand prix starts are not regular occurances. Obviously it's all down to personal preference but I prefer more in the mid range, ie progressive.
Too true, too true.
Only thing is I have only had the car a few months and want it to last,
Any other major stresses to the car other than eating clutches? If not seems a fair price to pay for "big bang"
aggressive is what I wanted, love the feeling of torque pushing u into the back seat, thats why i brought a turbo'd car, I'm still only on stage 1 as waitinng for a piper downpipe to go with my milltek, my mechanic is a scooby driver, his car has 300lbs torque, he drove mine and now he wants a leon. Controlled right foot and a revo'd leon lcr will hold its own against most.
It's in pretty good shape, almost mint, 52 plate LC.
Only other owner was an engineer and you know how they like things just so!
So happy days mapping seems on the cards when there's funds for it.

I agree with you mate, personal preference at the end of the day......... My recent CC Ph. 2 map is still pretty fierce off the mark, but mid range pull is now great, and it pulls to the redline too
