remapping

i have a 2.0 sport mk4 ibiza and i think its 100 or 115bhp - im interested in have it remapped but dnt now wot bhp 2 av it 2 and where can i get it done?

A remap on a 2.0 8v or 16v Sport?

It will only see you pushing another 5-10bhp, for the money not worth it, exhuast, air filter be better.

My friend had a 2.0 8v Golf GTI mk3, same engine, or alomost as close to yours, had remap, exhaust, cold air induction and de-cat etc, only 129bhp, spent a fortune...

Cams and a few other bits will help

2.0 8v mate. Wot air filter would you reccomend? k&n? seen sum on ebay £40 ish

K & N or Green Cotton are good, heard good things about them, Viper do filters too, £40 is about right

No worries, if you do a quick search it might bring up some info about 2.0 8v, or try mk2 & 3 section as they have that engine too...

He has standard front ARB but is thinking of getting the Jabba RARB like me!

The rear one is 23mm iirc, front is 20mm but mine is 21mm - VRS

as ad lav said i did buy a vrs arb to fit to my car and i gave myself 30mins of time to fit it which i thought would be long enough but after dropping all thesubfame and most of the suspension i couldnt riggle the fcuker out so i gave up and sold it as it was ONLY 1MM DIFFRENCE

agree with this but the cams will prob make it run lumpy on tickover

also look into a lightened flywheel
