Ive got the same problem with my kiwi cupra its annoying so bad because i only want to be a posh twat who unlocks his car 20 feet away just once.I have tried this...
sit in car - doors closed
1 ignition on to red lights on dash
2 turn off immediately and pull key out
3 hold 1 of the buttons down (dont matter which)
4 PRESS the other 3 times ( with a SLIGHT pause) 1 . 2 . 3
5 watch led on key (should flash) and doors usually try lock/unlock
6 turn ignition key back on to red lights and wait 5 sec
7 key out again and test operation
but at stage 5 the doors do not try and lock/unlock
Can't get my central locking to work remotly
All doors are opened manually with the key, so that works.
can show you on video if you want ?all these turn off then turn back on for so many seconds are bull has it actually worked for anyone because i want to know
How do you do that? Surely if their key was different you wouldn't be able to do step 1.you can try it with any mk2 style remote by the way to test it just make sure if you borrow a mates that he codes it back to his car after
Reason I ask is I've just bought a key off ebay but I think the blade is completely different to mine. Could I do this trick to check whether it's going to work before I start ripping my existing key apart?1 ignition on to red lights on dash
ye the remote splits as for non remote the prcedure above is for coding the locking control not immobiliser mindawesome pic mate! am i right in thinking that the key splits into key/remote without actually opening it up? I can see how I'd do that with the remote one but not with my non-remote one.
