Remote fob only opens drivers door

Evening All,

I picked up my LCR 225 today and I am very pleased with it but the remote central locking only seems to open the drivers door however the doors still lock with the remote fob.

I can unlock and lock the doors using the buttons on the drivers door near the window switches. Does anyone have any clue why this does not work?

With my Golf and Passat you had to push the remote fob unlock twice to unlock all of the car but this does not seem to work :(

Any ideas?

Cheers in advance [B)]

Maybe someones set it that way through vagcom, don't know but might be worth seeing if you can change it.

Central convenience or comfort control module, it's one of them if it works, not all of the older cars can be accessed by vagcom, I think it was mostly 2002 onwards.

Ahh right cool I think I will purchase vagcom it seems worth it and hopefully then I can help other forum members. The LCR I have is 2004 (04) so I think it should work fingers crossed.

Put up a shout on here for someone in your area, there's a lot of folk already have it and would do it for next to nothing.

Does it unlock all the doors if you double press the unlock button? If so this is deffo a vag-com setting.

SELECTIVE UNLOCKING
This second one is to enable selective unlocking. This means that when unlocking the car
with the remote control on the first press of the button only the driver’s door will unlock. To
unlock the other doors, you simply press the unlock button on the remote a second time.
Open Up VAG-COM, and go to "Select Control Module"
Select module 46 - "Central Convenience" or (Module 35 - Cent. Locking for cars
with manual windows)
Select "Recode - 07"
In the top box, there will be a value such as 00259 (Odd number = all doors one press,
even number = Drivers door, then all doors)
Note down all 3 numbers, just in case anything goes wrong.
SUBTRACT 1 from the top number, so if 00259 put in 00258.
o For ref, on a central locking 4 elec window LC the codes are:
00258 - Drivers door, then all doors.
00259 - All doors on one press.
Click "Do it!"
Exit out of VAG-COM, turn off ignition.
Get out of car, lock it using the remote. Now unlock it using the remote. You should
see only the driver’s door unlock. Press unlock again, and all other doors should then
unlock

quick fix is unplugging battery for a bit so it resets it. Had same problem on mine. make sure you have stereo code and let the throttle body do its thing for few mins after you reconnect battery.

Ha mine does this and I always assumed it was a standard thing. Obviously the previous owner had a little play round with vagcom on it…
