Remote Key Fob Broken

The battery has died on my remote. I have replaced the batteries, the light is flashing but it is not opening thecar any more.

Does anyone know how to re program the key?

I have looked at the link and it only shows how to replace the batteries.

I have already replaced the batteries, I just needs to reprogram the key to the car?

Any ideas?

Try this:
Key coding
1 ignition on to red lights on dash
2 turn off immediately and pull key out
3 hold 1 of the buttons down (dont matter which)
4 PRESS the other 3 times ( with a SLIGHT pause) 1 . 2 . 3
5 watch led on key (should flash) and doors usually try lock/unlock
6 turn ignition key back on to red lights and wait 5 sec
7 key out again and test operation
