Removing CD Changer Cable

I am taking out the tape player and CD changer in my 03 LCR and a mate is having it. How hard is it to remove the cable that connects the HU and changer. I take it it's all taped into the main wiring loom.

Is it easier to just buy another one and leave it in there?

Also the hole left in my glovebox, will he be able to remove a part of his glovebox to fit in mine and cover the hole left from the changer or is it different to the one i could order from Seat.

Easier to leave it in. What car has your mate got? If its a Leon, chances are he'll have the cable in his...

mine is a leon cupra R 2003 and his is the same but 2005.

Me and my mate tried to trace the wire through, cutting it out of the loom as we went. We got about six inches across and gave up, it's horrible!! The binding didn't help either, the wires that we had got out of the loom were black and sticky, wouldn't have been very nice to install in the destination.
