removing the black box behind washer bottle

im looking to remove the black box behind the washer bottle if i disconect the round part thats got a plug on it will it through up a engine fault ?

Best thing to do is keep it plugged in and trace the wiring back through to the bulkhead and hide it under the scuttle panel
