There are some nice gear knobs in genuine accessories range.
Not sure the prices shown are actual though.

One can find those in ebay using the part numbers, I believe.
It should be noted that those are just knobs, gaiter is not included.
Seat using cheap materials again. The gearknob and gaiter in my 2002 mk1 still look immaculate.
I think OEM used would be your best bet, from a breakers yard. Would probably be pretty cheap n cheerful too! If not, what about this:

I've looked at eBay for 2nd hand ones and they all just seem a bit tatty.
