Hello all.

Just bought my leon cr fr 170. I thought with it havibg bluetooth id be able to play my music direct from my iphone but nope. Just links the phone.
Pulled the unit out today and its an RNS310.
What can i replace it with to be able to bluetooth my iphone music. Update the sat nav n still have all the steering wheel controls work ??

Many thanks

Rob

I've got the RNS310 in mine and rather like it

You can update the maps to the 2012 V4 easily enough, they use tomtom data and offer 7-digit postcode support. For music just buy a large capacity SD card and copy your mp3s onto that for use with the system, works nicely.

Have a scan on gps underground ;) The unit takes a 32gb SD card so plenty of music for anyone i think.

You could jump up to the RNS 315 (Aka SEAT Media System 2.2)

It aesthetically looks the same as the RNS 310 but adds DAB and its internal Bluetooth system will support music streaming from a phone

Well ive won a RNS315 to replace my RNS310.

I assume its not just a case of unplug the 310 and put in the 315. Will there be settings i need to change via VAG? If so what? I want the rear sensors to work on the screen too.

I want to capture the pin code for the 310

Good choice :)

Should be plug and play but you might want to add a Bluetooth mic whilst its apart and DAB antenna if require

edit: actually you've already got the Bluetooth mic I guess. you can probably remove the old standalone Bluetooth module and sell on as the 315 has this built in. in terms of coding its difficult to say as it depends what car the 315 came from. It's possible you'll get away without changing anything

Ive already got a DAB aeriel ready to go but its one you mount on the back window (in and out) so id need to run the cable the full lenght of the car.

Any recomend one i can leave under the dash or close to the front window screen.

TBH i can run the aerial at a later date. im more interested in getting the rest working.

Where is the bluetooth mic located?
