my Cigarette lighter point doesnt work.. well if you wiggle it around it works but its so annoying!! especially when your sat nav or phone keeps dieing!! so i was wanting to replace it! how differcult is it to do? or would it be easier to get Seat to do it when i put my car in for its service in a few weeks?

It looks easy enough. I have just bought the spring cap this week to do this. Was £7 from TPS
Part number: 5P0919341H (I used my g/f's ibiza for reference). This should be the same for the Leon but I can't confirm 100% till i've fitted :)

However on closer inspection my whole socket could do with replacing as it's pretty bad inside. I need to go back to TPS today and order the socket. I'll post up the part number when I get it.

The console simply pops out, with the use of a small srewdriver and cloth. The clips are located on opposite sides just under the mirror button. You can then disconnect each of the buttons from underneath.

I've not completed this yet as I need the socket but it doesn't look too bad for diy :)

Now I have the socket part. £6.08. Part number 1J0919309

They both clip together, so far so good. Now just to fit :)

DO NOT PUT THE CAP ON THE SOCKET before putting through the console hole. It will end in tears and a stabbed finger

Put the spring cap into the console and when fixed in place you can then put in the socket through the cap and console.

Removing the cap from the socket again otherwise is :censored: difficult

It's easy when you know how :cartman:
