Replacing spark plugs

you will need to remove the engine cover and then the pencil coil and then you will find the spark plug in the head

you need to remove the airbox, then you will see 4 black boxes with wires going into them, they are coil packs, you need to remove them then under that you can find the spark plugs. helps if you have a socket on a long extension, or even better a propper sparkplug tool.

have you done plugs before, one of the simplest and yet easiest to bugger up and expensive too:)

Agree with that - it's easy to damage the coil packs as they're a very tight fit and you really need to clean out the recesses that the plugs are in if there's any muck in there as it will drop into the engine (although I doubt garages would do that).

When putting new plugs in it's vitally important not to cross thread them and to torque them to the correct value. You can tighten them by feel, but you need to have a good feel for these things - not too tight and not too loose.
