So my new MK1 LCR is a yellow and yes its really faded infact it looks like a patchwork of yellow and i definatley want it to respray it before the end of the year, problem is do i take it back to the original colour which will just require all the exterior work or i was think Subaru Mustard or Megane Yellow...thoughts?

yellow

ive always wanted a yellow LCR but because its so faded im now just considering the shade of yellow lol, admittedly subaru mustard is pushing the spectrum a little :D

Ovni looks perfect when it isn't faded, that's what i'm going for when i have the money.

Or, i liked the colour of my old Saxo.. Citroen KHN (Mango)

:D there are lots of colors i love, for example ive always wanted a car in cadburys purple, but then again i've always wanted a yellow leon and now i have one it needs a respray... i know if i just get it done in original color it will keep the cost done as only the exterior will need doing... is this the case if i change the shade of the yellow or is that moving straight into full nuts n bolts respray terratory?

Also for those who dont (i cant post links yet) what the subaru mustard looks like its similar to the house of kolor pagan gold.

Was the first word that came into my head too:rofl:

Personally SEAT yellow gets my vote if its going to be yellow at all. I can appreciate the need for ideas but surely if the OP doesn't know which colour they like how would anyone else.

i narrowed it down to the 3 listed above, but also im open to idea like the crono yellow.........do you have a pic?

No mines as cream as yours! but the original ovni that our cars came in takes some beating and its the easiest option.

If my car wasn't a sleeper Id be looking at a a bright orange or white, something unique(ish) to the standard colours. applemobile and grahams81 have said colours.

Youve got me at it now! But im more likely to stick to the original colour when the time comes

I'm heading down the Renault Liquid Yellow route myself. Seeing how that paint reacts to sun is incredible, takes me back to being a kid and seeing my first Reflex Purple TVR Tuscan.

This is mine after a respray

Added a gloss black roof

Standard onvi looks brilliant! I went to go liquid yellow or frozen white (ST OR RS COLOUR) or ST orange but the paint was 10times the price of onvi.

Here's a few recent pics of mine. Was resprayed last year in lamborghini giallo midas. My mates honda civic jordan in yellow reminds me of the old ovni yellow....overall I'm happy with my results. But just to let you know for a full respray in a different colour is not cheap. If yoour changing the colour inside and outside then its costly. Mine was inside and outside which involved stripping the car etc lights, seals (engine bay not included) sanding down, primer ect. Was a big job and I was lucky I got done in mates rate. So be careful and look out for cow boys
