Wrong side of Surrey I'm afraid by Torque-Sport in Shepperton did my bodykit sprayed and fitted it for the price most people were looking just to spray it.

Also recentley just done the mrs MX5 cam belt and service for 2/3rd the price of anywhere else.

They do lots of Fords and are members of the RS Owners Club.

Highly recommended to me by a fellow employee, and now quite a few use them. Excellent service and quality even though the place looks a dump!

Right.
Insight Developments Did ALL the bodywork on my last polo (there was a lot!) and ALL of it was to absolute top standards, everyone who always looked close up said how the boot was totally smooth, not an imperfection in it at all, and the bonnet looked like it had never been welded, and this isnt some show car, i did over 30k miles in it in under 2years-23months to be exact!

They are near Alton in Hampshire, going towards winchester.
They are VAG specalists, but also carry out all of 'pug performance's' bodywork.

Thier Website (which needs serious updating!) is
Insight Webby
When its not too cold, they are all usually up at No-Rice in Guildford too

Cheers mate. Im up at no rice tonight actually. Unfortunately I cant afford anywhere near their quote on my car. They quoted £2700 for a full exterior respray and bits of the inside (that you can see basically) and engine bay. That was not even anything fancy like flush rear tailgate...just a bit of arch repair of hich the repair panels cost about £20 each or something silly. Also thats with me turning up with the car gutted. And I mena everything stripped ready for work. I will NEVER pay anywhere near that for a respray. I just cant see the point when I own my car to drive it - not stand about worrying about marking my almost £3k respray. What did you pay for yours matey?

Thanks for any info about this though guys. Keep ideas coming.

To be honest with you, with bodywork, you get what you pay for. im not saying you HAVE to spend more, but to get top quality work, you need to pay for it, and if you want something to last, especailly bodywork, then im afraid you have to pay for it. I get all my work done there, (well bodywork at AP pannel craft-their new bodyshop) and mechanical at Insight, and a few friends have started using them too. no one has complained about the workmanship, as youd expect for a profesonal company like that.
sorry i cant really think of anywhere else, thats why i used them in the first place lol
Hope you find somewhere to suit your needs soon though

Well i have just finished restoring my other car, a 1971 MGB and i have a full respray and a load of minor and major bodywork done (usual bits of rust and a major accident repair).

It was done up in Markyate in Hertfordshire (near luton) and the bloke is excellent - the work he does is fabulous and the price was even better, unbeliveably low and it didnt even rise for all the extra work he did for me either (also paid cash if you know what i mean ;))

The bloke is John Lynch of Hamlyn Motor services, Markyate, Herts
Telephone 01582 841284

Well worth the extra distance, he's done a few things for me and my dad who lives up there - always takes pride in his work.

Have to agree AP Panelcraft are the dogs danglies. When I worked at McLaren, they used them a fair bit.

Torque Sport would still be my recommendation due to value for money but with an excellent finish, nothing is too much trouble for them
