Morning all,

Coming back to the site after many years away. Will be picking up my MK1 Cupra R next week. 2003 with 44k on the clock. Very excited to be back in a 1.8 20VT. Had 3 of these between 2004 - 2012. I had been searching for a low miler for the last 3 years and have now finally found one. 😁

If retired, two car household you dont do the mileage. I use to do 120,000 miles in mine before I outed them. One the wretched diesel engine would not start in the winter, outed that at 10 years, sold it to my brother for £400. ZX. He had a thing for TR7s. Had five of them. Five or six motor bikes... 15 bikes.. 🤣. The smokey old diesel kept him going for another 8 years. It started up first time and went to the knackers yard.

Welcome back.
Looks in amazing condition.
Like yourself I had a few mk1’s back in the day. Bought one same colour as yours in 2017, now have an Onvi yellow one on 81k.
A few original owners coming back to them now. Shows how good they are. (y)

Nice. I do like the onvi yellow. I think I've been longing for many years to hear the 20vt engine spooling the turbo through the gears. The engines are so smooth. All mine back in the day never missed a beat.
